Divi Exams

Privacy Policy

Divi Exams — Exam preparation app for TET, DSC, Constable, SI, Group 2 & other competitive exams.

Effective 27 July 2026 Version 3.0 DPDPA 2023
In short: You sign in with your Google account. Your test scores stay on your device. Paid content is unlocked through Google Play for a fixed period. We never see your card or UPI details. We do not sell your data, do not show ads, and do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools today.
Temporary change — phone OTP sign-in: Phone number / SMS OTP sign-in is temporarily disabled in the current app. We paused it to reduce Firebase Authentication SMS costs while India’s DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) registration for SMS templates is completed. This is not a permanent removal. Once DLT registration is done, we plan to restore phone OTP as a sign-in option alongside Google Sign-In. While OTP is off, we do not collect phone numbers through the app. When OTP returns, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety form before collecting phone numbers again.

1 · About Divi Exams

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Divi Exams Android app, how we use it, and your rights over your data.

Divi Exams helps students prepare for competitive exams (including TET, DSC, Constable, SI, and Group 2) with previous-year papers, practice tests, and mock tests. Premium access is sold through Google Play for a fixed validity period.

Divi Exams is operated by an individual developer in Andhra Pradesh, India, and follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023.

2 · Information we collect

This progress is saved on your phone and is not uploaded to our servers.

3 · Sign-in

Google Sign-In (current): You sign in with your Google account to use the app and save progress on your device.

Phone OTP (temporarily unavailable): SMS one-time password sign-in via Firebase Authentication is paused to control SMS verification costs and while we complete DLT registration required for compliant SMS in India. We intend to bring OTP sign-in back after DLT is in place. Until then, Google Sign-In is the available method.

If you contact us about a problem, we may reply by email. We do not send marketing messages today.

4 · How we use your information

We do not use your data for advertising and do not sell your personal information.

5 · Third-party services

We use trusted Google services to run the app:

These services process data under their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy · Firebase Privacy

6 · Data storage & security

Your account information is held by Google Firebase. Your test progress stays on your device. Purchase records are held by Google Play.

All communication with our services uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). We do not store passwords — sign-in is handled by Google.

Important: If you uninstall the app or clear its data, your test history on that device will be permanently deleted.

7 · Data retention

8 · Children's privacy

Divi Exams is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us and we will delete the account.

9 · Your rights

Under India’s DPDPA, 2023, you may:

10 · Future changes

If we add features that change how data is collected — such as restoring phone OTP sign-in after DLT registration, leaderboards, cloud backup, marketing contact, or analytics — we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety form, and notify you in the app before those features start collecting new data types.

11 · Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make important changes, we will update the effective date and notify you in the app where required.

Older app builds may still open earlier policy pages (for example privacy.html / privacy-v1.html). This page (privacy-v2.html) is the current policy for the latest Divi Exams release.
